Look to the West!  This morning, as the Solstice sun rises and the full moon sets, we in the UK have the chance to see a lunar eclipse.

meteorwatch.org says:  “at 0740 it will be in total eclipse, with the full face of the Moon darkened red. This will last until 0854 GMT, at which point the Moon will slowly begin to darken again”.  The moon will be setting but the further north you are, the better your view will be. Being fairly far north myself I should have a nice view until the eclipse ends… or until I get to work.  In this weather it’s anyone’s guess which will happen first.

Happy Solstice best beloveds
