Glenshee

The Glen of the Fairies more than lived up to its name yesterday morning. Trees, fields and mountains were all enrobed in snow. The whole pristine landscape shone a pale, magical blue as it reflected the sky.

This is nice – yesterday was better

A small herd of deer grazed on the hillside while buzzards and corbies glided on the bright air.

We passed through a sparkling tunnel of trees, bent and curved by the white weight in their branches. To our right the Shee Water snaked, black and shining, along the valley floor.

Heartbreakingly, I did not have a camera handy to record the beauty.
